The first meeting after our summer recess was a productive business meeting. Among other things discussed, yours truly was officially elected as webmaster. I do solemnly promise to do my best keep this site up and running. Please forward all suggestions to me at webmaster@swiftnow.org. What follows is a brief recap of the meeting.
All active SWiFT members are now entitled to have their own email. The format is: your name (or whatever you want to call yourself) @swiftnow.org. Those wishing for an email address please email me with the user name you would like. I will follow up with instructions and a temporary password.
All active SWiFT members are also able to post messages in the forum. You must register first. After you have registered you must log in. Then,you will be able create a profile, post messages, etc. All non-active SWiFT members (the rest of the Internet) may comment on posts, however, they can not post a new message. The forum will be minimally moderated.
SWiFT business cards are in and are available to active SWiFT members. Contact Jane for the cards. They will also be available at the next business meeting too.
SWiFT logo baseball caps have been ordered and will be available for a price to be announced soon. These will be available at the next business meeting as well.
The current bylaws have been amended to allow active SWiFT members to adjust annual dues by majority vote a business meeting. Also the position of treasurer is now officially defined as being responsible for collecting and recording dues – among other things.
We are off to a great year. I hope everyone will contribute to this forum – whether to share information, complain about dogmatic theocratic problems, or just to say “hi.”
